Driver Management

  1. Navigate to the Users section and add drivers using their email addresses.
  2. Drivers will receive an email asking them to confirm their association with the restaurant and enable notifications. They can accept or decline this request. You need a driver to “Deliver” the item by using their phones

Restaurant Settings (Please ensure you do this, else the Delivery won t work)

  1. Opening Hours (very important):

    • Set the restaurant's opening hours in the "Store" settings. This ensures that customers know whether the restaurant is open or closed in real-time.
  2. Delivery Range and Fee (Very important):

    • In the same settings, define the delivery range in kilometers (based on Google Maps).
    • Set a delivery fee if applicable.

Getting Started

  1. Menu Setup:

    • Ensure the restaurant menu is uploaded to the platform. If not, upload and configure it first by following these instructions.
    • Share the ordering link (E) via social media or integrate it into the restaurant’s website to give customers access to online ordering. To access it, please check step 8 of this link and go to QR code E
    • For future orders, print the QR code (E) for the digital menu on pizza or food boxes, encouraging customers to use it for reordering.
    • Set up Stripe to make customer pay for their food when they order.

Customer Experience

  1. Ordering Process:

    • Customers access the menu through the shared link (QR code E) and can instantly see if the restaurant is open.
    • If the customer is within the delivery range, they can place a delivery order. Otherwise, they can still use the takeout option.
    • The menu supports over 22 languages and displays allergen-specific options, allowing customers to filter meals according to their dietary restrictions.
    • Customers can view menu photos and place orders, choosing to pay via Google Pay, Apple Pay, or credit card at the time of order, or pay upon delivery.
  2. Order Status Updates:

    • Credit card payments are provisionally reserved and charged once the restaurant accepts the delivery.
    • Customers receive real-time updates on the order status: Order Accepted, Assigned to Driver, On the Way, and Delivered.

Restaurant Management Workflow

  1. Order Notifications:

    • Administrators and managers receive a push notification when a delivery request is made.
    • Upon accepting the order, they input an estimated preparation time (delivery time is pre-calculated). This estimate updates the menu and informs future customers, reducing unnecessary inquiries.
  2. Driver Assignment:

    • Once the preparation time is confirmed, assign the order to a driver.
    • Drivers pick up the order and deliver it to the customer, completing the process.

This system ensures a smooth delivery and takeout experience for both restaurant owners and customers while maintaining transparency and efficiency throughout the process.
